Recently Completed Project – The Thacher School Dining Pavilion

Located in Ojai, California, The Thacher School is a highly selective, co-educational, independent boarding school located on 427 acres of hillside overlooking the Ojai Valley.

The new 14,500 sf Dining Pavilion complements the historic, western-vernacular buildings at the physical and emotional heart of campus.

Context-sensitive and deeply ecological, the new Dining Pavilion poetically merges food, community, and memorable spaces with landscape, sustainability, and outdoor learning. It supports and inspires the distinctive Thacher school culture – from fireside parlor readings and formal dinners to family-style breakfasts around the coffee table.

Each meal fosters meaningful connections – with community, environment, and the world-at-large.

Consistent with Thacher’s environmental goals – the facility achieves LEED Gold certification.
