Aquatics Facility
Hueneme High School

In collaboration with Arch-Pac Aquatics, the design of this high school aquatics facility utilized the compact site within existing campus buildings to create an arena-like atmosphere. The painted supergraphic elements in school colors visually tie the entire space together. The 34m by 25-yard rim-flow pool includes a dedicated dive area and two shallow lanes for teaching. A new aquatics support building houses locker and team rooms, coaches offices, restrooms, indoor and deck showers, and storage and mechanical areas. New stadium lighting and a new scoreboard provide a high-functioning competition venue. High-efficiency pool equipment provides significant energy savings and helps to reduce maintenance costs for the school.
