Originally from Tehran, Iran, Fatima received a Bachelor’s degree in Public Management from The University of Tehran. After moving to the United States, she received a degree in Interior Design from SBCC before attending the Master’s Program in Architecture at SCI-Arc. As part of her graduate program, she was given the opportunity to study in Japan for a semester.

In addition to architecture, her other passions include designing and making furniture, pottery, and clothing. Outside of the design world, she enjoys climbing and backpacking whenever she gets the chance.

She believes that this quote from Kazuyo Sejima describes her philosophy towards architecture, “I have a dream that architecture can bring something to contemporary society. Architecture is how people meet in space.”
